Some time ago, I analyzed the question of whether PET plastic bottles can be reused. Although the editor has given some supporting opinions, they are all supported by some relatively broad concepts. There has been no good case to discuss. Today, I occasionally saw an article about lamps made from waste PET plastic bottles. I think it is very meaningful, so I share it. It also corresponds to my previous concept: if PET bottles are only reused for a short time, the problem is not big. It is best not to use the bottles for packaging of food, medicine and other products.
Colombian psychologist and activist Hélène Le Drogou, feeling that PET plastic bottles pollute nature and the Amazon River, launched a special environmental protection project aimed at turning discarded PET bottles into treasures. Hélène Le Drogou invited Spanish designer Alvaro Catalán De Ocón (good at lamp design, won many awards, and his work Laflaca won the Frankfurt Design Plus Award in 2008) to participate in the project. Reuse of plastic bottles, Pet lamps plastic bottle lamps project was born. This project creatively combines discarded PET plastic bottles with traditional hand-woven to make beautiful lamps.
